UNIONS science collaboration

The UNIONS science collaboration is open to any Ph.D. astronomer and their students from institutions in Canada, France, Japan, and to any member of the Pan-STARRS team. To join the collaboration, scientists must contact the UNIONS Steering Group (email below, you can also anticipate the next step by creating your own CADC account) by outlining in  a few lines their scientific project, and agreeing to the collaboration rules as described in the UNIONS Memorandum of Understanding. This document focuses on enabling scientific collaboration and discovery as UNIONS seeks to empower researchers. There is no reserved science but collaboration is encouraged.

The UNIONS Steering Group is composed of 16 members who meet monthly to review the progress of the observing programs, to address any input from co-investigators, and to develop strategies to further maximize the scientific output of the collaboration. Send your questions or remarks to the UNIONS Steering Group by emailing us at: unions-sg at cfht.hawaii.edu
